Pain is an emotion that has the ability to consume humans to the very end and make them do things they would rather never consider doing. Pain often leads the way to transformation. Some transformations are positive and some are negative. While we hardly learn anything from the positive ones, we do get ourselves consumed by the negative ones.
Then we have compelling questions arising within ourselves which bog us down in our everyday routine.
What is the purpose of my Life?
Why do I have difficulty in my Finances?
How do I find true love in my Life?
and many more similar questions which make us unhappy most of the time. We become so furious with these questions that we get ourselves into a rat race and look for answers in our own minds and we often forget to take a step back and give ourselves the time and guidance we need.
Sometimes we are not aware of our own capabilities and we rate ourselves below par. We force and expect ourselves to do things that others are good at and get disappointed when we are not as good. Just like a caterpillar, we build a cocoon of limitations around us and live inside it.
A young postgraduate of English did not do well in his University grades and felt depressed because he thought he was not good enough and no one would employ him. He wanted to become a teacher and his low grades had minimised his chances to be employed as a teacher. For the same reason he sulked and did not apply for any job for almost a year. Then one day he came to know that one of his classmates who had ranked 2 places below him had started taking the English language tuitions and was earning enough to take care of his expenses. Now this made him think harder about his options in life. He needed to break free from his traditional beliefs of getting into a job to earn his living. There were numerous opportunities waiting for him.
Similar to the above story most of us are stuck in our own thoughts and are limited by our own belief systems. To shine in life and make a difference we need to break the monotonous thought process and think out of the box. The opportunities are numerous; we need to explore them, that will open the plethora of opportunities for us.
But before running after success we must focus on our present selves first. Regardless of people's judgement, we must concentrate on our mental, physical and spiritual healing.
Healing does not necessarily banish pain or the reason behind it, but it initiates a process of breaking out of the cocoon (limitations that we have created for ourselves) and become our own butterfly by stepping towards satisfaction that brings a sense of understanding of oneself with the world. Once we know ourselves better, only then we can focus on our life ahead and be successful in the true sense.
